notices.
Slaughter-houses.
There were 14 Slaughter-houses and one Knacker's Yard on
the Register in 1913, one in Clapham was removed, leaving 13 on
the Register.
The slaughter-house licensed by the London County Council
for slaughtering horses for human food was frequently inspected,
and during the year 268 horses have been slaughtered on the premises,
and all were exported, compared with 281 in 1913.
During the year 316 inspections were made of these, but it
was only necessary to serve five notices for cleansing. The usual
cleansing was carried out by the occupiers at the proper times.
