Borough, corrected for External and Internal Institutions.

The above were the cause of 77.5 per cent. of the total deaths,
compared with 77.8 in 1913, 79.1 in 1912, and 69.4 in 1911.
Cancer.
The total number of deaths from Cancer and other malignant
diseases was 393, 162 of males and 231 of females, compared with
352 in 1913, 338 in 1912, and 321 in 1911, an increase of 41 compared
with the previous year, and of 68 compared with the corrected
decennial average.
The corrected death rate was 1.20 per 1,000, compared with
1.07 in 1913, 1.07 in 1912, and 1.04 in 1911.
