Tuberculous Diseases.
The total number of deaths from diseases of a Tuberculous
nature was 589, compared with 355 in 1913, 366 in 1912, and 389
in 1911.
305 of the deaths were due to Pulmonary Tuberculosis, 42
to Tuberculous disease of the Brain and 42 to other forms of Tuberculous
diseases.
The number of deaths from Pulmonary Tuberculosis and other
Tuberculous diseases and the rates per 1,000 for the whole Borough
and for the separate sub districts are shown in the next Table.
The corrected death rate from Pulmonary Tuberculosis was
.93 per 1,000 compared with .88 in 1913, .96 in 1912, and .91 in
1911; from other Tuberculous diseases .25 compared with 20, .20
and 35; and from all Tuberculous diseases 119 compared with
1.08, 1.16, and 1.26,
