Ages at Death.
The following Table shows the percentage of deaths to total
deaths at six age periods for each sub.district and for the whole
Borough.

Compared with 1912 the percentage of deaths under one year
was i"i8 higher; from one and under five years 1.09 higher;
from five and under 15 years "40 lower; from 15 and under 25
years '51 lower; from 25 and under 65 years 1 "25 lower; and
from 65 years and upwards 11 lower.
There was a considerable diversity in these rates in the different
sub.districts.
In Streatham the rate under one year was only 12"97 while
in Tooting it was 24.42, while over 65 years of age Tooting had a
rate of 24.94 and Streatham of 38.15.
At one and under five years the rate was lowest in Streatham
and highest in Tooting, from five and under 15 years lowest in
Streatham and highest in Tooting, at 15 and under 25 years lowest
in Putney and highest in Wandsworth, at 25 and under 65 years
lowest in Tooting and highest in Clapham, and at 65 years and
upwards lowest in Tooting and highest in Streatham.
