Report of the Medical Officer of Health. 251
Table CXIX. shows the nature of the trades carried on in the
workshops inspected.
There has been a slight increase in the numbers, chiefly due
to an increase in the number of dressmakers and tailors, 483 and 16
of these being now on the Register, compared with 467 and eight
in 1912.
The total numter, viz.:—905, (168 in Clapham, 108 in Putney,
356 in Streatham, 91 in Tooting, and 182 in Wandsworth), is 32
more than in 1912, the greatest increase having occurred in Streatham,
while there has been a decrease in Wandsworth.
