Three of these complaints were made to the London County
Council, and these were at once attended to.
The number of houses and premises inspected was 38,803, an
increase of 2,487 compared with 1912, amd of 6,830 compared with
1911.
There was an increase in the number of houses and premises
inspected in Clapham North, Putney, Streatham, Balham, Tooting,
Fairfield and Southfield Wards, and a decrease in Clapham South
and Springfield Wards.
The total number of house-to-house inspections made was
2,739, compared with 2,674 in 1912, 2,486 in 1911, and 6,276 in
1910. There has been an increase in the number of these inspections
in Clapham North, Putney, and Balham Wards, and a decrease
in Clapham South, Streatham, Tooting, Southfield, Fairfield, and
Springfield Wards, compared with 1912.
Although the number of these inspections is lower than the
average of the five previous years, yet there has been an increase
of 65 compared with 1912, and it will be noted that the total number
of inspections has increased by 2,487.
