Table VI. shows the ages of persons, males and females, at each
year of age under 21, and in quinquennial age groups at the Censuses
of 1901 and 1911.
At all ages there was an increase of 36,962 males, and 52,364
females.
Table VII. shows the conditions as to marriage, distinguishing
the number of females ages 15-45 in 1901 and 1911 and the Percentage
increase. From the Table it will be seen that while the
unmarried persons in the Borough increased by 28.5 per cent.,
the married increased by 43.4 per cent., and the widowed by 36.6
per cent. Again, the rate of increase of unmarried females from
15-45 years was 21.6 per cent., but of married females was 36.7
per cent.
