With regard to cases discharged from Institutions, only six
were received during the month of January previous to the coming
into force of the new Regulations, and of these five were received
from the Superintending Officers of the Wandsworth Union, and one
from Queen Mary Hospital, Carshalton.
Under the new Regulations all discharges are made on Form D,
and of these 196 were received from the 1st February, 1913, to the
3rd January, 1914.
Of the 196 certificates, 64 were received from Superintending
Officers of the Wandsworth Union, 18 from Brompton Hospital,
16 from Mount Vernon Hospital, 14 from Queen Mary Hospital,
Carshalton, 13 from the Northern Hospital, 11 from Downs Sanatorium,
Sutton, eight from East Cliff House, Margate, six from
Brompton Hospital Sanatorium, Frimley, six from the Royal
National Sanatorium, Bournemouth, six from St. Mary's House,
Margate, five from Pinewood Sanatorium, Wokingham, five from
the National Sanatorium, Benenden, four from Victoria Park Hospital,
three from Eversfield Chest Hospital, two each from the City
of London Hospital for Diseases of the Chest, Malting's Farm Sanatorium
Nayland Suffolk, Mount Sanatorium Worcestershire, and
St. Michael's Home Axbridge Somerset, and one each from the
Chelsea Infirmary, Chilton Hill House Sudbury, Convalescent Home
Cranbrook, Firs Home Bournemouth, Fulham Infirmary, Ipswich
Sanatorium, National Children's Home Sanatorium St. Albans,
Park Hospital Hither Green, and the Royal National Sanatorium,
Isle of Wight.
Of the 64 certificates received from Superintending Officers of
the Wandsworth Union, 36 were from St. James's Infirmary, 25
from the Tooting Home, two from St. John's Infirmary and one
from the Workhouse.
The 196 certificates received related to 185 cases, nine cases
having been notified twice and two cases three times.
35 cases were notified as having gone to addresses in Clapham,
15 to Putney, 45 to Streatham, 26 to Tooting and 64 to Wandsworth.
Two cases in Clapham and one in Wandsworth were discharged
to Common Lodging Houses.
