Among males the rate for Pulmonary Tuberculosis for the
year 1913 was 1.09, compared with 1.24 the decennial average;
and among females .71 compared with .75, while from other Tuberculous
diseases the rate among males was .26 compared with .40
and among females .15 compared with .29.
Among children under five years the rate for the year was
.09 compared with .20 the decennial average.
The rate for males and females for the year 1913 from Pulmonary
Tuberculosis was .88, compared with .97 the decennial
average. In one of the years during the decennium, viz.— in 1910,
this rate was the same while in all the other years the rate was higher.
The Chart shows the male and female as well as the total
death-rate from Pulmonary Tuberculosis per 10,000 population
for the last 26 years.
As will be seen the rate among males has decreased compared
with the previous year, but among females there is a slight increase.
The rate among males was lowest in 1911 and among females in
1903.
