The diagram which follows shows graphically the proportion
which the more prevalent diseases bear to the total deaths.
The whole area of the circle represents the deaths from all
causes, and the various segments the deaths from particular diseases
or groups of diseases.
it will be observed that the deaths from Diarrhoea, Tuberculosis,
Cancer, and Diseases of the Respiratory Organs contribute
very largely to the total mortality, and also that the notifiable
diseases, other than Pulmonary Tuberculosis, contribute very little.
