Report of the Medical Officer of Health.
Putney was the only sub-district in which the rate was lower
than in 1910, but the rate for the whole of the Borough, although
higher than in 1910, when it was exceptionally low, was lower than .
in 1908 and 1909.
In Clapham the greatest number of cases was notified in
October and November, and the smallest in August.
In Putney the greatest number of cases was notified in October
and November, in Streatham in October, in Tooting in November,
and in Wandsworth in November.
The rate in Tooting was to some extent raised by the notification
of cases from the Fever Hospitals. The total number of cases
notified from these Institutions was 26, so that the rate, instead of
being 3.64 would on that account be reduced to 2.87 in 1911 and
2.53 in 1910.
In the whole Borough the greatest number of cases, viz.:—
122, was notified in November, and the smallest in August, viz.:—
36.
The following Table shows the number of cases notified in
each sub-district during each month of the year 1911, and for the
whole year.
