The total number of ventilating shafts and columns in the Borough
are as follows, viz.:—
406 6-inch by 4-inch ventilating shafts.

The amount expended in the maintenance of these, together
with 21 urinals, was £2,255 7s. 4d.
A new rectangular ornamental Cast Iron Urinal, for four
persons, has been erected on land belonging to the Trustees of
the Crooke-Ellison Estate, on the west side of Streatham High
Road, near Hermitage Bridge.
