The widened parts of the following roads, which were previously repairable by the Council, have been paved as new streets during the year, viz.:—

Or 1 furlong, 127 yards.
The estimated cost of making up and paving the above roads
under apportionment amounted to £16,926 16s.
WORKS OF REPAIR.
The carriageways of the following streets, not repairable by the
Council, have been repaired under the provisions of Section 3 of the
Metropolis Management Amendment Act, 1890 (53 & 54 Vict., cap. 66),
at the cost of the owners of property abutting thereon, viz.:—

Or 1 mile, 1 furlong, 145 yards.
The estimated cost of repairing the above roads amounted to
£ 1,000.
During the past year the following drains have been constructed
in connection with the work of paving new streets:—
Land Drain, 220 feet 4 in. on the north-east side of Cowick Road,
from No. 175 to a point 23 feet from Okeburn Road.
Land Drain, 66 feet 2 in. on the west side of Streatham High
Road, from No. 556 to Arragan Gardens.
