The total number on the Register at the close of 1908 was 13,
'61 inspections were made and two notices were served.
Slaughter-houses.
There were 20 Slaughter-houses and one Knacker's Yard on
the Register in 1907, one in Wandsworth was removed, leaving
20 on the Register.
During the year 365 inspections were made of these, but it
was only necessary to serve three notices for cleansing. The
usual cleansing was carried out by the occupiers at the proper
times.
During the year the Inspectors inspected the carcases of 300
cattle, 2,221 sheep, 215 pigs, and 46 calves in Slaughter-houses
and Butcher's Shops, and reported that all the animals were
healthy.
