In regard to Scarlet Fever in 13 premises more than one case
occurred after the return of a case from hospital, two cases each
in nine premises, three cases in two premises, four cases in one
house, and seven cases in another house, this latter being an
Institution.
It is difficult to account for the increased number of return
cases as only in nine cases was there any visible discharge from
the mucous membranes. Every care seems to have been taken in
hospital, and the average time of detention in hospital has not
appreciably lessened.
