Table LXXXVI. shows the nature of the trades carried on in
the workshops inspected.
There has been a slight diminution compared with 1906, the
number of dressmakers' premises, of workshop laundries, and
workplaces having decreased owing to either dullness of trade,
removal, or conversion of workshop laundries into factories.
The total number of trades carried on in the Borough does
not coincide with the number of workshops and workplaces, as in
many instances several trades are carried on in the same premises.
