Enteric Fever.
70 cases of Enteric Fever were notified during the year (18
from Clapham, six from Putney, 12 from Streatham, nine from
Tooting, and 25 from Wandsworth), compared with 96 in 1906,
and 96 in 1905.
42 of the cases were removed to hospital where four died, and
38 were treated at home with six deaths.
The total number of deaths was 10 (two in Clapham, one in
Putney, three in Streatham, one in Tooting, and three in Wandsworth),
compared with 15 in 1906, 11 in 1905, and 11 in 1904.
The number of deaths was five less than in 1906, and 13.3
under the decennial average.
The proportion of cases notified per 1,000 of population was
.21, compared with .30 in 1906, and .33 in 1905, and with .29 for
the whole of London.
The corrected death-rate from Fever was .03 per 1,000, compared
with .048 in 1906, .04 in 1905, and .04 in 1904, while the
rate for the whole of London was .04, compared with .05 in 1906,
.05 in 1905, and .06 in 1904.
The death-rate in the sub-districts was practically the same,
viz.:-.03 per 1,000.
