In Clapham, out of a total of 79 cases, 39 or 49 per cent.
occurred in children attending schools in the Borough; in
Putney, of 65 cases, 37 or 57 per cent.; in Streatham, of 157 cases,
78 or 49 per cent.; in Tooting, of 138 cases, 47 or 34 per cent.; in
Wandsworth, of 190 cases, 88 or 46 per cent.; and in the whole
Borough, of 629 cases, 291 were in attendance at schools in the
Borough, and 18 at schools outside the Borough, a total of 309,
or 49 per cent.
Of the remaining cases, viz.:-320, in 44 or 7 per cent., the
diagnosis was incorrect, and 276 or 44 per cent. were not in
attendance at school.
