REPORT OF THE SUB-COMMITTEE
1907-8.
The Sub-Committee have pleasure in presenting their Report
on the progress and work of the Streatham, Balham, and Tooting
Libraries during the year ended the 31st March, 1908.
This total represents, as compared with last year, an increased
issue of 41,761 volumes for home reading, and 258 for purposes of
reference.
The most noticeable feature of the year's work has been the large increase in the number of books borrowed from the Libraries, the total having reached 403,954 vols., or a daily average of 1,635:—

The increased circulation of books in the Lending Departments has not been confined to any particular class of literature, as will be seen from the following figures :—
