126 Report of the Medical Officer of Health.
The principal increases were in the Balham, Tooting, and
Springfield Wards.
The total number of house-to-house inspections was 5,686,
compared with 6,290 in 1905, and 6,440 in 1904.
There has been a slight increase in the number of house-tohouse
inspections in Clapham North Ward, Putney and Tooting,
but a decrease in the other Wards. This decrease is due to the
pressure of other work, the increase in the number of complaints,,
and the increase in the necessary clerical work.
