Enteric Fever.
96 cases of Enteric Fever were notified during the year, 12
from Clapham, eight from Putney, 19 from Streatham, nine from
Tooting, and 48 from Wandsworth, compared with 96 in 1905,
and 74 in 1904.
53 of the cases were removed to hospital where eight died,
and 43 were treated at home with seven deaths.
The total number of deaths was 15, six in Clapham, two in
Putney, two in Streatham, none in Tooting, and five in Wandsworth,
compared with 11 in 1905, 11 in 1904, and 19 in 1903.
The number of deaths, although four more than in 1905, was
nine under the corrected decennial average.
The proportion of cases notified per 1,000 of population was
.30, compared with .33 in 1905, .27 in 1904, and .41 in 1903, and
with .34 for the whole of London.
The corrected death-rate from fever was '048 per 1,000, compared
with .04 in 1905, .04 in 1904, and .07 in 1903; while the
rate for the whole of London was .05, compared with .05 in 1905,
.06 in 1904, and .08 in 1903.
