3- At the first Meeting of the newly-elected Council, held on
Election of
Mayor.
the 9th November, Councillor James Wise was
unanimously elected Mayor.
4. At the same Meeting the following gentlemen were elected
Election of
Aldermen.
Aldermen in the place 01 Aldermen Anderson,
Dickinson, Dunkley, Ennis, and Lorden, who went
out of office on that day :—
Ennis, George, J. P.
Hunt, William, J.P., L.C.C.
Lorden, John William.
Penfold, William Frederick.
Robinson, Mark.

5. The election of Councillors Hunt, Lorden, Penfold and Robinson as Aldermen created four vacancies in

the office of Councillor. At the elections to fill these vacancies, which were held on the 4th December, the votes recorded for each candidate were as follows, viz. :—
