The promoters ultimately agreed to the terms settled by the
Council, the London CountyCouncil,and the other Local Authorities
opposing the Bill, the main points of which, in connection with
gas testing, were the provision of a testing station at Wimbledon
within a year of the passing of the Act, in place of testing at the
works as at present, and various other arrangements as to testing
illuminating power with flat-flame burners, calorific power of the
gas, etc., on similar lines to the tests at present in force at
Disraeli Road, Putney, in connection with the gas supplied by
the Wandsworth and Putney Gas Company.
