STABLES.
The Council having entered into a Contract with Messrs. Phillips,
Mills & Co., to supply the horses required at the Clapham and Putney
Stables for a period of five years, the 41 horses and harness, &c.,
belonging to the Council have been sold to them for the sum of
£1,323 11s. 11d.

The following was the expenditure in connection with the Stables during the past year:—

SCAVENGING.
The scavenging of the roads and the cleansing of the gullies was
