£7,000, the wages, £4,000, to be defrayed by the Central Body,,
this Council to pay for the materials, estimated at £3,000, ana the
lake when completed to be maintained by the County Council.
The work was carried out under the supervision of the Surveyor
for the Eastern District at a total cost of £7,717 8s. 7d., towards which
the Central Body contributed the sum of £4,300, and the lake
was opened on the 28th July, 1906, it being handed over by the
Mayor to the Chairman of the London County Council.
