and Surbiton, two each; and Shoreditch, East Ham, Enfield, Bromley
Chiswick and Norwich, one each, a total of 231.
This number is a slight decrease compared with 1904, when the
number forwarded was 249.
249 inspections were made of these outworkers' premises, and
21 intimation notices were served. It was not necessary to serve any
statutory notices as the intimation notices were complied with forthwith.
These notices were chiefly for cleansing.
During the year five cases of infectious diseases were notified
from the homes of outworkers, three of Scarlet Fever, one of Enteric
Fever, and one of Erysipelas, compared with a total of 12 in 1904.
Table LXXIX. shows the nature of the work carried out in the
homes of outworkers as well as the number of lists received, the
number forwarded to other authorities, and the number received from
other authorities.
