GENERAL SANITARY WORK IN 1905.
The following list shows the special inspections made by me
during the year:—
1. General inspection of the whole of the Tooting Ward, and
the carrying out of the removal of dust by the Council, for the purpose
of noting the working of the system of daily removal of house refuse.
2. Inspection of drains of non-provided schools for the purpose
of granting certificates that such drains had been tested with water
and found satisfactory. The following schools were dealt with in
1905:
St. Andrew's Roman Catholic School, Streatham.
Walker's Place School, Putney.
St. Michael's School, Wandsworth.
Christchurch School, Clapham.
Inspections were also made of other schools for the purpose of
ascertaining if any nuisances existed that could be dealt with under
the Public Health (London) Act, 1891:—
North Street School or the Parochial School, Old Town,
Clapham.—There a slight defect was found on
smoke testing.
Charlwood Road, and All Saints Schools, Putney, were
also tested with the smoke machine, but no result
was obtained.
