33. Several complaints from College Park, Wandsworth Common,
and its vicinity of the misuse of the commons by loafers
and bad characters were considered, and the attention of
the Police Authorities and the London County Council was directed
to the matter with the view of steps being taken by them to remedy
the cause for complaint, and the County Council as a means to that
end were requested to empark the strip of the common between the
County Arms public house and the Borough boundary, and to lay it
out with lawns and flower beds.
34. In reply, the Commissioner of Police stated that numerous persons
had been prosecuted for offences committed on the common, and that
it was hoped that the action taken would have the necessary deterrent
effect; and the Parks and Open Spaces Committee of the County
Council stated that they did not see their way to recommend that
Council to empark the strip of the common referred to.

Common.
35. The Council has had under consideration the subject of the
difficulty experienced and the expense incurred in
preparing separate lists of voters for each of the
numerous areas transferred from the several parishes for municipal,
but not for Parliamentary purposes, by schemes made under the
Parliamentary
Boundaries.
