Police
Provisional
Order.
67. This Bill contained provisions authorising the acquisition of
a piece of land adjoining the Police Station, Upper
Richmond Road, Putney, for the purpose of enlarging
and improving such station. The Council suggested
that any buildings which may be erected on the land in question
should not be erected in advance of the existing station, and the Home
Secretary stated that when the time came for rebuilding the station,
the wishes of the Council with regard to the frontage line would be borne
in mind.

Pneumatic
Despatch.
68. This Bill proposed to authorise the establishment of a
Company with a capital of £4,000,000 for the purpose
of constructing, laying down, maintaining, and using
pneumatic lines in the County of London, and collecting, transmitting,
and despatching parcels, goods and messages within and beyond
the County. The Bill was rejected on preamble.
Re-Vaccination.
69. This Bill provided that children should be re-vaccinated within
six months of attaining the age of twelve years, and
that lists of children attending schools should be sent
to the vaccination officers during the months of May and November
in each year. The Council presented a petition in favour of the Bill,
which was, however, not proceeded with.
