HENRY GEORGE HILLS,
Town Clerk.
Council House, Wandsworth, S.W.,
3rd February, 1904.
The whole of the work with regard to factories and workshops
has been carried out very efficiently by the various inspectors, and
the amount of work done has been most satisfactory.
I am pleased to be able to report that the general condition of the
factories and workshops in the Borough is very good, and that little
difficulty has been experienced in having any necessary work carried
out.
The only matters requiring special notice are the provisions of
water closet accommodation in small workshops and workplaces, and
in a few instances the provision of separate accommodation for the
sexes in small laundries. On the whole, however, satisfactory arrangements
have been made in all these cases to comply with the Act.
