Report of the Medical Officer of Health.
The total number of houses and premises inspected was 17,999,
compared with 16,419 in 1903, and 14,703 in 1902.
The increase in these inspections was chiefly in Wandsworth and
Clapham, although there was a small increase in Streatham and Tooting,
but the inspections in Putney show a slight decrease.
6,440 house-to-house inspections were made during the year, an
increase of 1,221 compared with 1903.
There has been a satisfactory increase in the number of house-tohouse
inspections in each of the sub-districts, and this increase is very
marked in the case of Wandsworth.
