Report of the Medical Officer of Health.
There has been a very large decrease in the number of return
cases in 1904, the percentage to total cases this year being only 1.4,
compared with 4.5 in 1903
The average duration in Hospital in these 17 cases was 56 days,
compared with 54 in 1903, varying from 29 days to a maximum of
113.
In five of the cases it was noted by the parents that the child
when it returned had a discharge from the nose, in two that there was
slight desquamation, and in one case that the child had a sore ear. In
the others the children seemed on return to be in good health.
