Medical Officers of Health Annual Report.
Under the infectious disease prevention clauses of the
Public Health (London) Act, 1891, one summons was
issued in respect of a person knowingly causing another
person suffering from infectious disease to be placed in a
public conveyance. The magistrate took a lenient view
of the case, and the smmmons was dismissed.
In conclusion, I have to express my regret, at the
severance of my connection with the Public Health
work, in which I have always taken a deep interest,
and I take this opportunity of returning my best
thanks to the members and my colleagues, and especially
to the Streatham Local Committee for their unvarying
courtesy and support during my twenty-three years of
office.
F. F. SUTTON, M.D.,
Medical Officer of Health for Streatham.
