to remain in abeyance, it being thought undesirable
to incur, so near the termination of their tenure of office,
the additional loan expenses necessary for carrying
out the much needed extension.
The Divisional Committee have recently given this
important question their careful consideration, and the
Council has decided to enlarge and suitably furnish the
building at an estimated cost of £2,500.
With this sum they hope to provide a Heading
Room nearly three times the area of the existing one,
and a Lending Department capable of storing eight
times the present number of books.
