SALE OF FOOD, &c., ACTS.
During the past year, 600 samples of various articles
of food and drink have been purchased and analysed by
the public analyst. Of these 551 were reported to be
genuine. In 14 cases in which the articles were found
to be slightly adulterated the vendors were cautioned
In 32 cases proceedings were taken against the vendors,
with the following results, viz. :—
