The next Table shows the rate for the last 4 years:—

TABLE VIII.

1888188918901891
Clapham1.91.41.52.19
Putney1.0.731.11.23
Streatham1.7.81.82.21
Tooting2.41.72.43
Wandsworth3.71.33.32.07
Whole District2.11.12.12.06

From this it is seen that the rate is lower than last
year's, or than that of 1888.
On turning to Table VII. we see that the total of
Zymotic deaths has increased slightly.
The most striking difference from previous years, however,
is seen to be the occurrence of 61 deaths attributed
to Influenza, as compared with 21 in 1890, and none in
previous years. This makes up a considerable part of
the total 324, and omitting these deaths the Zymoticrate
would be 1.6. Very numerous reports have been
written on the Influenza Epidemics that we have had to
face during the last three years so that but little remains
to be added. Our knowledge of the disease cannot yet
