Parish Poor. The figures relating to the sickness and
mortality of the parish poor are given in Table XII.
In the zymotic class, cases of Measles, Whooping Cough
and Influenza were attended, from which no deaths
arose. In the other classes, respiratory diseases, as
usual, formed a considerable proportion of the cases that
came under treatment. A very large proportion of the
cases treated come under heading "Other Diseases," in
the Table. This includes diseases of the digestive and
nervous system, as well as other local and constitutional
disorders. The total mortality formed 8 per cent, of
cases attended.
