This is the more satisfactory, when we bear in mind that
the year 1888 was remarkable for having by far the lowest
death-rate ever yet recorded in London.
Deaths in out-lying Institutions. The figures given above do not include the
deaths of those inhabitants of this district who
have died in outlying institutions The difference however
is probably made up by the number of deaths
occurring in the public institutions of the district, and
which are included in our general table of mortality.
