There were 63 deaths in outlying institutions, 37 of
males and 26 of females; 21 took place in the Union In-
firmary, 38 in general and special hospitals, and 4 in the
Asylums Board Hospitals.
When these 63 deaths are added to the 515 that
occurred in the sub-district, the death-rate is raised to
12 8 per 1,000, of the population.
I may again observe that in comparing the death-rate
of this and former years, we must not lose sight of the
fact that only in the last four years have outlying deaths
been included in the local death-rate.
