Infantile
Mortality.
The deaths of children under one year of
age amounted to 29.7 per cent of the total
number of deaths. The true infantile mortality expressed
by the proportion of deaths under one year to births is
shewn in the following statement:—

Mortality.
The relative number of deaths from the
various diseases, are stated in Table VI.

following table, a comparison is made with the corresponding
deaths of the ten previous years.
