slaughter houses in this sub-district, as in former years, to
ascertain if their sanitary conditions were in accordance with
the prescribed regulations. As regards the cow.houses, in
nearly all cases I found the cows clean, the sheds well ventilated,
with a good water supply, and the drains and paving
satisfactory.

appliances used in the trade were found to be in excellent
condition. In both cases cleanliness and order prevailed.
