CLAPHAM.
The year 1879 is the 24th year of the Medical
Officers' Report. The Registrar-General has included the
first few days of 1880 in his Annual Summary, so as to
reckon 53 weeks in the past year. The following
statistical table is presented as usual to give a comparative
view of the marriages, births and deaths for the present
year and the previous 10 years.

marriages in 1879 exceeded those of the previous year by 21,
although they are fewer than the two previous years. The
