LOCAL SUMMARIES.
WANDSWORTH.
The health of this Sub-district during the year 1863, as
evidenced by the Mortuary Returns, and the Parochial
Records of Sickness and Mortality amongst the Poor, was
not in so satisfactory a condition as heretofore.
As in the entire District, and indeed in the Metropolis
generally, the mortality was higher than the average, such
excess having been principally due to diseases of the zymotic
class. Nevertheless, the increase of mortality is
small compared with that of most of the other Metropolitan
Districts.
