As to sex, the deaths of females are seen, as usual, to
predominate, though to no greater extent this year than 7,
the numbers being respectively, males 174, females 181.
With regard to age, an unusually heavy mortality
appears against infants and young children, 86 having
succumbed under one year; 65 between the ages of one
