The general health of this locality has been exceedingly good during the
year, Tooting well sustaining its usual character for salubrity. There has
been no serious epidemic disease, very little diarrhæa, and no typhus fever.
There have occurred during the year several cases of hooping-cough, but
this disease has been generally of a mild character; no fatal case resulting
directly from this cause.
The following explanatory table, furnished by the Inspector of Nuisances,
will give the Board much information upon the sanitary inspections of
houses in the three localities, and the results of those inspections.

to death.
We have the honour to be, Gentlemen,
Your very obedient Servants,
ALEXANDER BROWN,
Medical Officer of Health for Streatham.
