The total number of deaths, from all causes and amongst all classes, in
the three localities, during 1856, was 112.
In the first of the three tables subjoined is exhibited the number that
have died of each class of disease; in the second is given the ages and
social position of the deceased persons; and in the third is shewn the
number of births that have been registered during 1856 in the three
localities.
The most striking circumstance recorded in the second table is the excess
of the infant mortality over that of more advanced age.
