OFFICES SHOPS & RAILWAY PREMISES ACT 1963
This Act, which came into force on 1st August 1964 makes provision for
securing the health, safety and welfare of persons employed in offices and
shops, etc. and includes all premises except those in which only the employer's
relatives or outworkers are employed or in which only twenty one man hours per
week are normally worked. In order to deal with the registration of premises
Section 49 of the Act was brought into operation on 1st May 1964
