INSPECTION AND SUPERVISION OF FOOD
AND FOOD PREMISES
Milk Supply
At the end of the year there remained on the register 56 distributors
of milk whose premises are situated in the Boroughs

Milk (Special Desianation) Regulations. 1960

Under the Milk (Special Designation) Regulations, the following Licences were issued :-

Milk Sample
55 samples of milk were sent for bacteriological examination
and all satisfactorily passed the required tests, 11 of the samples
were taken from schools in the borough.
Ice Cream
During the year 4 samples of Ice Cream were sent to the Laboratory
for Bacteriological examination, and all were up to Grade I standard. •
Pharmacy and Poisons
The names and addresses of 39 persons remained on the Council's
list of persons entitled to sell Poisons under Part II of the Pharmacy
and Poisons Act, 1933.
Quinquennial Inspection of Bakehouses
Certificates of Suitability were issued in respect of three bakehouses,
which were inspected and found to be satisfactory and conform
with the provisions of the Factories Act, 1961.
