Milk Supply
At the end of the year there remained on the register 57 distributors
of milk whose premises are situated in the Borough.

Milk (Special Designation) Regulations. 1960

Under the Milk (Special Designation) Regulations, the following Licences were issued:-

Milk Samples
92 samples of milk were sent for bacteriological examination.
Of these, 66 satisfactorily passed the Methylene Blue Test, 16
passed the Turbidity Test, 4 passed the Biological Test and the remaining
six samples were void.
Ice Cream
During the year 8 samples of Ice Cream were sent to the
Laboratory for Bacteriological examination, and were reported upon
as follows:-
6 samples were up to Grade I Standard

Pharmacy and Poisons
The names and addresses of 43 persons remained on the Council's
list of persons entitled to sell Poisons under Part II of the
Pharmacy and Poisons Act, 1933.
