CARS OF THE AGED
The following is a summary of the various facilities which are available to aged persons in this area :-

(1) Home Help Service | The London County Council Home Help Organiser, L.C.C., Divisional Office, Drysdale Street, N. 1. |
(2) Meals on Wheels | Old People's Welfare Committee, c/o.People's Advice Service Centre, Lordship Terrace, No 16. |
(3) Home Visiting | Members and visitors of the Old People's Welfare Committee |
(4) Holidays | Arranged in conjunction with Women's Holiday Fund and Hotellier's Association |
(5) Clubs | Three Clubs run by W.V.S.Fellowship (Old Age Pensioners) Grandfathers' Club Hawks ley Court Club for Old People St.John's Older Residents' Club Finsbury Park and District Friendship Club Friendship Club, Unitarian Church Rosemary Club for Older Residents Jewish Men's Friendship Club Good Neighbours' Club SS.Faith and Matthias Church |
(6) Chiropody | A Chiropody Service (Domicilliary and Clinical) is arranged by the Old People's Welfare Committee in conjunction with the London County Council at a charge of 3/- per visit |
(7) Bathing | (a) Home bathing for men and women is arranged by the District Nursing Association. (b) Special facilities are provided at the Council's Public Baths. |
